Child Dedication

Children are a blessing from God!  This blessing is a joyous responsibility and challenge that requires you to depend upon the Lord day by day.  Here at Mountainview, we believe that the journey of raising a child to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is key to their future.  We also believe that this relationship begins at home with your commitment to pursue a personal connection with Christ.  We offer a special dedication ceremony to celebrate this personal commitment.  In this special ceremony of Child Dedication, you will:

• Acknowledge your need for God’s wisdom, guidance, and strength in parenting;
• Commit to pursue becoming a Joshua 24:15 household...  "But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.";
• Celebrate the joy and love of your child before God.

We offer Child Dedication several times a year - usually in January, May (Mother's Day Weekend) and October.  Our Child Dedication ceremonies are generally hosted at 4:30 pm on Sunday afternoons.  If you are interested in dedicating your child but have questions, please contact Jodi Knutson, Nursery Coordinator, at 303.471.9644 x42 or send email to jodi.knutson@mountainviewfamily.org.  You may also find the Dedication vs. Baptism brochure to be helpful in explaining our beliefs for this special occasion.  You can download a copy of the Dedication vs. Baptism brochure by clicking on the file link below.

We ask that all families participating in our Child Dedication ceremony first attend our Child Dedication class.  In this class, you will:

• Explore scriptural support and education for this process;
• Meet other families taking this same step of commitment;
• Learn about how the Kids View ministry partners with you for support and resources.

In an effort to keep the ceremonies intimate and meaningful, space is limited on each of the dates.  Please sign up early.  We cannot add more participants to the ceremony after the class date has passed.
