The Arts Ministry wants you!

Have you been a closet Rock & Roll musician and want to get back into it?

Is Karaoke just not that satisfying anymore? 

The Arts Ministry is filling up the roster between now and the end of the summer so come on and jump in!  We are now interviewing and auditioning in all areas of the Arts -- musicians, singers, sound people, and projection & lighting operators.  If you have a passion to see God’s word spread through the Arts or just think you might be able to help, please consider becoming part of our team. The Arts Ministry at Mountainview exists to provide support for the planning and execution of our weekend services.  

We work with the teaching staff to explore interesting and creative ways to communicate the gospel of Jesus through music, drama, video, art, sound, lighting and other various multimedia forms.  It is our desire that the Arts are not what is seen on the weekend, but rather that the message we are preaching is communicated in a captivating format.

Worship Team

This team is made up of singers and instrumentalists. We perform during all 4 weekend services and use contemporary Christian worship music as well as secular songs periodically. We have various experience levels in our volunteers but maintain a standard of excellence that all participants must display. This area is open through the audition process with the Arts Director

Acting Up!

Acting Up! is the Drama Team.  This group meets every Thursday night and works in a workshop format to explore different aspects of acting and theater.  From the group of volunteers there is placement in dramas that are used during weekend services.  If you are new to acting this is a great place to get started and try your hand as an actor.

Sound Team

This team works in operating the sound board during the weekend services.  This area can be demanding but very rewarding in bringing beautiful music to life.  We have used experienced people as well as "trained up" people to be ready to run the sound system.

Video Presentation Team

Individuals on this team operate the video projection system which displays words and videos during weekend services.  This is a very easy place to get started in the Arts Ministry and we would love to have you join us.

Lighting Team

This team is evolving and our hope is that this team will work together to create interesting lighting for the services.  We are always looking for people who like to join the fun.

Video Production Team

Video production is an element to our services which we value highly. We are looking for people who have experience and/or the desire to help us in filming and doing video editing.  If you have a background in this area or might desire to help during one of our “shoots” please get in touch with the Arts Director.
