I do whatever Tracy Van Vleet tells me to do! I help primarily with our KidsView ministry under Tracy Van Vleet. I am involved with everything from preparing lessons, rewriting some, creating take home fridge cards, preparing our new Bible Reading Program cards, and creating fun crafts to help kids learn about our Lord hands on. Besides the work I do with KidsView I am also helping Wally out with Mountainview’s LifeGroups. I am very passionate about helping people get into a smaller community where they can learn about the Lord and encourage one another in their journey—so LifeGroups is a great fit.
This is horrible, but because of the great “compassionate” family that I grew up in, one thing that makes me laugh the most is watching people get hurt. Okay, really, who doesn’t laugh at America’s Funniest Home Videos? I have to admit also that bodily functions always make me laugh. Again, this is because of how I grew up, so I blame my father mostly. Kids are probably the number one thing that makes me laugh however. Every week at least one kid says something that I will laugh about until the end of the week. I cry when sin separates a family. Whether it is because of one parent’s decisions or both parents I am always devastated when I think of what this does to the kids. You don’t get to pick your parents, so it breaks my heart when parents don’t make decisions that put their children first.
I cherish every moment that I get to spend with my husband Andrew. We have so much fun together whether it is simply waking up in the morning or watching movies late at night. I know that we are happy and mushy newlyweds, but I do not know when will be our last day together, so I am determined to cherish and make the most of every moment that we have together, even when he sprays air freshener in my dinner because he thinks it’s funny.
My specialty is being able to sound like I know exactly what I am talking about even when I have absolutely no idea.
